AIT’s Consular Section hosted a roundtable event with Taiwan adoption agencies and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The guests were given an overview of what adoptees and their families can expect when they come to AIT. The event also included a networking and design thinking activity around the challenges and accomplishments many adoption stakeholders experienced in 2020. The State Department believes that international cooperation in consideration of the best interest of the child in intercountry adoption cases can lead to successful outcomes for all involved.
